According to recent reporting, Los Angeles-based developer Haroni Investments is set to start construction on a new $20M mixed-use building in the Crenshaw district.
Located at 5144 S Crenshaw Boulevard, the five-story development will feature 79 one- and two-bedroom units, 3,400 square feet of ground floor commercial space, and 64 parking stalls.
Purchased by Haroni Investments for $1.5M in 2018, the 22,000-SF lot was previously occupied by New Crenshaw Transmission & Auto Repair.
The redevelopment plan designed by John Kaliski Architects takes advantage of the available density bonuses to maximize the build out. In exchange, eight of the apartments will be reserved for extremely low-income residents.
Once completed, building amenities will include a rooftop terrace, landscaped courtyard and recreation area.
